For the past 12 months Swamp Circus have been running after-school circus clubs in and around Cornwall and as part of our anniversary celebrations and relocation of our Truro club to our fab new venue in Boscawen Street we would like to invite children and parents to attend a free session at any of our Circus Clubs until January 2017
The clubs promotes a non-competitive, friendly environment in which to encourage confidence building and physical fitness. All our clubs run with funding from Children in Need and are designed to interact and engage with children of all abilities especially those with additional educational needs. Students are welcome to try out any of the sessions in November for free we just ask that parents reference the ’anniversary’ offer to the tutor when attending.
One of the main objectives of our charity is to provide and facilitate affordable activities to promote health, well-being and activity within the local community. As part of our Circus School we run after-school clubs to children, families and adults of all ages who want to try something a bit different. The clubs run across the county and cover all aspects of circus, from juggling and acrobatics, to balance and aerial sessions.
Each class is subsided by our charity and costs only £3 (10 sessions for £25), they operates as a drop in sessions so there is no need to book in advance. Classes run through terms times and are taught by our professional performance staff who are qualified to teach circus skills and hold enhanced DBS certificates. For those that are keen to progress we also offer the opportunity to gain a Discover Arts Award.
